This is a bat box that will provide a suitable habitat for many bats. Bats need the habitat as so many have lost their roost over recent years.

This box is double chambered and of heavy construction for good insulation and longevity as bats may make their home there for many years to come. The narrow entrance slot and strong timber also help to deter predators from chewing through.

Made from oak and larch by manufacturers with a commitment to the Climate Care Scheme, it is strongly made with the front hinged for inspection and cleaning. They recommend that the box be positioned on a tree between 2.5m to 5m high depending on whether low or high flying bats have been seen.
