The Original Pond Pads are ideal for the average sized garden pond and, as part of regular pond care will work with nature to create an amazingly crystal clear pond, free of green slime and blanket weed. It is a natural form of algae control that has been known for centuries since the time that sheaves of corn were thrown ceremoniously into the village well and pond to keep them clear.

Made from a matting of cleaned barley straw stitched between knitted natural cotton netting, the pads are harmless to plants, fish and animals and will prevent recurrence of algal problems. There is no need to disturb the pondlife by trying to remove them as they become part of the natural food chain.

Treatment may be started at any time and today is always the best time to start. The benefits of autumn and winter treatments may not be seen immediately but they will be appreciated the following spring. Each pack contains three pads to give 12 months protection. Each pad measures 180mm square and 12mm thick. Full instructions for use are included.
