Bean & Pea Planter

Our bean and pea planter comes ready with a frame to support the crop while it grows. Easily assembled it stands at approximately 180cm when erected to allow in air and light for vigorous healthy growth and high yields. At 35cm deep, these rectangular planters are ideal for fitting into small spaces on a terrace or balcony. They take up little ground space and will supply masses of colour - bright green leaves followed by attractive flowers and a good crop - as the plants twine up the strong frame. The planters have drainage holes and hold approximately 45 litres of compost. They can be combined with a set of water spikes for trouble-free irrigation system.

Seaweed fertiliser is suggested for feed and the 4 spike irrigation kit is recommended for each planter to ensure a steady flow of water to the beans, connecting the irrigation kit to a waterbutt is suggested. Incorporating nutrigel in the compost at planting improves water retention and nutrient content.
