Description:

Slug Control. Nematodes are tiny parasitic eel worms, supplied in a carrier medium which is best used immediately but can be stored in the fridge for a few days. They will protect against small and medium sized slugs, attacking them in the soil, outdoors and under glass. They can attack water snails so treatment needs to be kept away from ponds. One treatment will be effective for about six weeks and will cover an area of around 40sq metres. The slugs die underground and the nematodes spread out from the victims to infect other slugs. Minimum soil temperature 5C (41F). Not so effective in waterlogged heavy clay soils which impede the movement of the nematodes

Directions for use (from the pack):

Follow the simple 2-step application for best results:
• One application will provide control for up to six weeks, for continued protection re-apply after this time.
• For outdoor applications, use from March to October when slugs are active
• Use year round for glasshouse applications.
• Soil or compost must be moist before and for at least two weeks after application, however, avoid waterlogging.
• Avoid applications in bright sunlight, apply during evenings or dull conditions.
• Use entire packet at one time and do not store made up solution.
• Within one week your plants will be protected, as slugs will stop feeding. Slugs die under the soil.

This pack contains living organisms (nematodes). Keep refrigerated (but do not freeze). Use before expiry date, printed on the pack.

Instructions:

1. Take one eighth of the pack contents and add to an 8 litre (2 gallon) watering can. Fill the can with clean water and mix thoroughly.
2. Apply immediately, using a coarse rose on the can, to an eighth of the soil area to be treated. Then apply an equal amount of water to the treated area.
