Jumbo Potato Planter

Description:

The jumbo potato planter makes it possible to grow a substantial crop of potatoes in a planter, right on the patio or balcony. Measuring 60cm x 60cm x 60cm, it holds 220 litres of compost - so be sure to position it in the right place when planting as it is heavy and difficult to move when full - and can take up to 12 seed potatoes - 4 times the amount a regular planting bag takes.

With drainage holes in the base to provide adequate water flow and keep the potatoes in the best possible growing environment, the jumbo potato planter also boasts unique upright supports at each corner - holding the sides upright during the layering process. This has 2 advantages - it keeps the sides from flapping in the wind, so stopping any damage to the seedlings, as well as keeping the opening as wide as possible to let lots of sunlight through, encouraging growth.

Organic potato and vegetable feed is suggested for feed and the single spike irrigation kit is suggested to irrigate the planter. Incorporating nutrigel in the compost at planting improves water retention and nutrient content.
