Fig Panachee is an attractive variety and is sometimes better known as the 'Tiger Fig' for its striped fruits with crimson, strawberry flavoured flesh. Producing only one crop per year, due to its requirement for a long warm growing season, Fig 'Panachee' is best grown in a container and moved to a greenhouse in winter to allow the fruits to ripen. The jammy textured fruits can be harvested from late September and are well worth the wait. Height: 3m (9'). Spread: 4m (13').
